Pickling & Oiling

Pickling is the process used to remove scale from metal that forms during the cooling process.

Steel Slitting

Universal Metals offers coil slitting on three slitting lines and can supply slit coils of all common steel qualities.

LEVELING CAPABILITIES

Leveling is the process by which a leveling machine flattens metal strip, coil, or sheets by bending it up and down over the interrupting arcs of upper and lowers sets of long, slender work rolls.

Shearing

This metal fabricating process is used to cut straight lines on flat metal stock. During the shearing process, an upper blade and a lower blade are forced past each other with the space between them determined by a required offset.
